Guardas-Nocturnos de Quarteira apanham suspeito de roubo em moradia de luxo, situada em Almancil, permitindo a recuperação de quase todo o material roubado.

Foi decretada prisão preventiva para o assaltante capturado pelos Guardas-Nocturnos

Person arrested following violent attack at luxury Algarve Villa.

On 3rd March at 0200 hrs a British couple and a friend were attacked by a hooded gang of three persons whilst sleeping at their luxury villa located between Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo. After trying to resist the attack one of the victims was assaulted with an iron object suffering multiple bruises on the body. The victims are British tourists aged in their 70s and a friend aged about 45 years. Despite threats to victims, demanding money, gold and other valuables, the robbers left with only computers, mobile phones and other computing devices, leaving a luxury car and other items.

Shortly after the attack one of the robbers was arrested by the Night Guard Service and GNR in Quarteira and most of the stolen items were recovered. The GNR are investigating and searching for the rest of the gang. This comes a short while after the arrest by the GNR of a gang responsible for similar residential robberies.
